Chile

The Villa Alegre solar park, with a total installed capacity of 10.66 MWp, is another SOLEK plant in the Maule region, south of the Chilean capital Santiago. Connected to the grid in 2020, it was built again under the Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida (PMGD) scheme, a distributed energy source whose territorial diversification ensures Chile's energy security and is also in line with the government's goal of becoming a carbon-neutral nation by 2050.
